Save The Dates & Invitations

Save the dates and invitations? Oh, they’re the moment where your wedding story starts to unfold! Think of them as the opening act, setting the stage and giving your guests a little teaser. They’re not just paper — they’re the first impression, the first “ooh” and “ahh,” and the first little taste of the magic you’re planning.

I’m all about teaming up with couples to create designs that feel like you. Playful, romantic, elegant, or a mix of everything, your stationery should reflect your vibe and your one-of-a-kind love story. After all, no two love stories are the same, so why should your save the dates or invites be?

Save The Date & Invitation Timeline

Feeling a little lost on when to book or send things out? Don’t worry, I’ve got you! Here’s the timeline I swear by for my Aussie couples.

12 months prior

Send out your Save the Date

I always recommend sending out your Save The Date around a year before your big day — it gives your guests plenty of time to lock in their plans (and get excited!). This is especially handy if you’ve got loved ones jetting in from overseas, you’re planning a destination wedding, or your date falls in the middle of the holiday season madness.

To make that magic happen, aim to order your Save The Date about 14–15 months out.

6-7 months prior

Book your Stationer for Invites

The magic starts about 6–7 months before your big day — this gives us loads of time to dive into the fun stuff, dream up the perfect design, and chat through all the little details. If you're thinking custom illustrations or luxe touches like letterpress, even better to get the ball rolling early, since those beauties take a little extra time!

Send out your Invitations

By now, you should be gearing up to send out your invitations! You’ve got to factor in postage time, time for your guests to make plans (especially if you skipped Save The Dates), and time for them to RSVP — often by post, which stretches out the timeline.

Your RSVP date should be about 6-7 weeks before the wedding. This gives you a buffer to track down anyone who hasn't responded (they’ll need a little nudge).

Here’s a little taste of some of the Save the Dates and Invitations I’ve created in the past! Every single one is custom-designed because your love story deserves something as unique as you are. Got a wild idea? A dreamy vision? A quirky theme? I’m here to bring it to life! Let’s make some paper magic together.

Blossie was one of the first creatives I wanted to lock it when we got engaged. I had seen Han’s work previously; her eye for detail and unique flare is beyond compare.

Han originally created the most stunning invites for our wedding. She took my ideas, made suggestions and brought to life something I could have only dreamed of. Unfortunately with only 5 weeks notice, we moved our wedding forward 6 months. Myself and my husband were functioning under high levels of stress and the only way I can describe Han, is that she was our angel.

Working off a brief colour scheme and maybe only two pictures for reference she created magic with soft pastel tones and intricate floral details that she sketched herself. Han liaised with our florist, venue and even our celebrant. She went above and beyond for us. From the beautiful signs and drink tags, down to our wishing well and behind the scenes pictures. Han did it all.

Thank you Hannah for being part of our wedding. Before we started planning our wedding our vision was for a romantic, summery, magical day - your stationery creations perfectly met this brief. From the beautiful letterpress invites, to the custom design of our day of signs and placemats - it was spectacular. Thank you for accommodating to our vision, we were beyond happy with every element. Your professional, caring and efficient nature was a joy to work with. We would HIGHLY recommend Blossie for your stationery needs!

Hannah is an absolute dream. Not only is her work amazing but she is a kind, considerate and patient animal lover that made me instantly drawn to her and her work. People have not stopped messaging about the beautiful invites Hannah has created for our day. Thank you Han, you’re truly the best!
